If I Had an Urn I Would Try to Fit In: A Thought-Provoking Theatre Review

If I Had an Urn, I Would Try to Fit In! is a satirical and, at the same time, deeply thought-provoking performance that stayed with me for several days after I left the theatre.

The performance begins with two women waiting for a doctor’s appointment. It seems initially like a simple situation but then it develops into something much deeper, intellectually provoking, and very sadly familiar.

I especially appreciated how the performance explored the pain and experiences that women still face today. It also made me think about how deeply patriarchal attitudes can influence the way women’s experiences and pain are understood, dismissed, or ignored.

The actresses were both excellent. They brought a lot of emotion, energy, and vulnerability to their roles, and their interaction made the performance feel very alive and personal. What I loved most was the way the performance managed to combine satire with much deeper and more uncomfortable statements.
