🌟 About the documentary:
The documentary follows the story of Eufrosina Cruz Mendoza, a woman from Oaxaca, Mexico, who fought for her right to vote and be a candidate for Head of Municipality in her community. The documentary highlights the struggles of Mexican women for the right to vote over a century of history, and how contemporary suffragettes continue to fight for women’s rights in Mexican society and political parties.

The event is run in collaboration with the Embassy of Mexico in Finland and IMCINE, and it is supported by ESTDEV – Estonian Center for International Development Cooperation.
